Tested for quality

ULO rear lights are tested under the most extreme conditions to ensure that they will remain reliable even under the toughest road conditions. The most demanding testing methods simulate a service life of around 15 years and a total distance travelled of about 300.000 kilometres.
Immersion and pressure tightness test

Absolutely waterproof
By means of an overpressure test, the rear light is tested for leaks in a dipping basin. This is to ensure that no moisture can penetrate into the rear light.

Heat, Moisture- and coldness-test

Extremely stable at all temperatures
In order to ensure that all products actually withstand everyday challenges, such as strong temperature fluctuations, the thermodynamic behaviour of the products is tested under the most extreme operating conditions in so-called temperature change tests. For this purpose, ULO products are exposed to temperature fluctuations of -40°C and +80°C in climatic cabinets. An additional temperature shock test simulates the effects of temperature differences on particularly sensitive components such as LEDs. These tests are pure stress for any material both for plastic components and for electronic components.

Dust-test

No chance for dust
This procedure tests the rear light in a dust cabin for housing tightness. For this purpose, fine sand is whirled up in a chamber by a blast of air, thus ensuring that no foreign bodies can penetrate.

High-pressure cleaner-test

Strong under high pressure
The high-pressure cleaner test checks whether the rear light meets everyday requirements (for example in the car wash). For extremely waterproof rear lights - even under high pressure.

Shakertest

Vibration resistant
The so-called shaker test tests the mechanical load of the complete rear light including the electronic components by maximum strong and long-lasting vibrations. - Extremely poor road conditions are simulated over several years.

Coating processes

For high-quality surfaces that characterise the typical appearance of lights and guarantee optimum light distribution.
The implementation of technology and design is becoming more and more demanding and requires a coating technology that meets the high requirements. The odelo Group meets these requirements with state-of-the-art metallization equipment and the necessary know-how.

Injection molding

For optimum fit and installation without reworking.
The latest and most efficient injection moulding processes guarantee tailor-made plastic components. All ULO products are characterised by a perfect fit and allow easy installation without reworking.
